11.05.2003the room is on fire as she's fixing her hair....how cute were the strokies on conan last nite? i love how they shot the 'prettier' boys twice as much than the other lads including poor nikolai and albie. aww, i heart you nikolai. poor alex from ima robot is sick. oh no. i hope you feel better. watch the preview for michel gondry's new film everyone! i swear it's going to be better than human nature. i really promise. "BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB have revealed exclusively to NME.COM plans to perform a special US tour in the New Year with three of the most exciting bands in the world. Bassist Robert Turner is the driving force behind the jaunt which he hopes could take place in 5,000 seater-venues across the States. "The Strokes could possibly be on there," drummer Nick Jago told NME.COM. "We're not sure yet but it'll be along those lines. The Rapture and The Libertines are likely to be on the list. We're just trying to work something out. But we definitely want to tour America again so we can hit the market that we missed last time we toured." that's exciting news. even more exciting.... October 28, 2003 - Spike Jonze, former music video helmer and the inventive filmmaking mind behind Adaptation and Being John Malkovich , is poised to enter the realm of children's fantasy. According to today's Hollywood Reporter , Universal has brought Jonze on to direct the Playtone-based adaptation of Maurice Sendak's classic children's story Where the Wild Things Are . Where the Wild Things Are tells the story of Max, an imaginative little boy who is sent to bed without any supper. Fortuitously, a jungle springs up from the floor of his bedroom, and he encounters a group of wild beasts that are as silly as they are scary. The picture was originally planned as a CG-animated adaptation, but the trade scoops that it will go ahead as a live-action feature. At last report, screenwriter David Reynolds ( The Emperor's New Groove ) had written an adaptation of Sendak's work, but there's no word on whether or not Jonze plans on using it. Sendak and John B. Carls of Wild Things Productions will serve as co-producers along with Playtone's Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman. dude, i lurve this book. you don't understand.
